Patty Jansen lives in Sydney, Australia. With a professional background in science (agriculture and ecology) and interests in marine biology and astronomy, she writes mainly Science Fiction, but has been known to belt out the occasional fantasy story. She is an editor and slush reader at Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine.

Her novelette 'This Peaceful State of War' won first place in the Writers Of The Future Contest second quarter 2010.
