Leonard Hollar was born and raised in Oklahoma and now lives and works in Northwest Louisiana. A persistent cuss, he started college at Oklahoma Christian College in 1965 and graduated with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree from Louisiana State University at Shreveport in 1997. In the interim, he spent time in the Oklahoma National Guard, the U. S. Army and working on one sort of airplane or another from T-37 "Tweets" to U-6 Beavers to RU-21's to KC-135's with the odd F-8 and F-84 thrown in for good measure. He has also been a police officer, private investigator and armed guard. Thanks to his Uncle Sam, he has been able to add world traveler to his résumé; having visited Vietnam once and Germany twice during fifteen years in the Army.

He has several hobbies besides firearms and following the goings on in the world of the military. Included in these are fishing, woodworking, and photography. Leonard is also a Life Member of the National Rifle Association. When he has the opportunity, he also plays with the Society for Creative Anachronism, preferring to spend his time then with his GDH Brothers.
Leonard is the author of "Just one of Those Days" in
Grantville Gazette, Vol. 2, and is on Eric Flint's Firearms Committee, the official "Gun Nuts" for
1632, and has co-authored several articles in the
Gazette.
